Share trading progress with a mentor

Invite a mentor, choose the trading data they can review, and manage or end access.

Mentor Mode lets you share selected trading records with someone who mentors you. Find it under Tools in the desktop sidebar or More in mobile navigation. It is visible to signed-in users, but no one can see your data unless you invite them and they accept.

If you are sharing your data

  1. Open Mentor Mode and enter the mentor’s JJI username or email.
  2. Choose trading accounts to share. You can also enable Daily journal (including its voice memos) and Playbooks.
  3. Send the invitation. If the email is not delivered, copy the invite link shown on the page and send it yourself.
  4. The mentor must open the link and sign in with the invited email address to accept. The invitation expires after seven days.

After acceptance, check Your mentors to see what is shared. Use Manage sharing to change account, journal, or Playbook access and save it. Use Revoke access to end sharing. The mentor can leave feedback on a shared trade or daily note; you can read it in Mentor Mode. Feedback is attached to an entry, not a private chat.

If you are the invited mentor

Open the invitation link. If asked to sign in, use the email address that received the invitation, then accept it in Mentor Mode. After acceptance, open Traders you mentor and choose Review trading.

The review is read-only. Performance analytics use up to 100,000 trades across the shared accounts; their totals are independent of the separate list showing the 100 most recent trades. Daily journal entries and their voice memos appear only when the trader enables Daily journal; Playbooks appear only when enabled. You can leave specific feedback on shared trades and daily notes. You cannot edit the trader’s records.

Expand a trade or journal card’s voice memos panel to load its audio list. If a request is rate-limited, wait for the indicated time, then choose Retry or Refresh yourself; it does not repeat automatically.

Mentors can also listen to voice memos attached to trades in the selected accounts. The Daily journal setting controls access to daily-note recordings; the review includes up to 100 recent journal entries and up to 100 recently updated Playbooks.

End or troubleshoot access

The trader can change or revoke access under Your mentors. A mentor can choose End mentorship under Traders you mentor. Either action stops access to shared data. If an invitation has expired, ask the trader to send a new one. If acceptance fails, make sure you are signed in with the invited email address.

Mentor review shows performance analytics for the accounts and prop-firm stages the trader shares, including dashboard statistics and charts. Goal and habit widgets are not shared. The analytics use up to 100,000 trades; the trade list shows the 100 most recent records. In Manage sharing, choose Show failed accounts to share a failed prop-firm stage.

Verify a mentor and explore shared analytics

Enter an existing JJI username or email and wait for User exists before sending. Unknown accounts, your own account and an already invited mentor cannot receive another invitation. An interrupted lookup keeps sending disabled; edit the field to retry. The server checks the recipient again when sending.

Selecting an account shares its trades, calendar, all dashboard trading analytics, performance detail and account performance review, including fees, drawdown, expectancy and breakeven sensitivity. Open View analysis on a card, expand nested data, and use Show more for longer lists. Totals use the analyzed history, while the trade list contains only the latest 100 records; time series can be sampled and the analytics limit remains 100,000 trades. Money is net of recorded fees unless a metric explicitly states gross. Goals, habits, private AI chats, billing and local Studio projects are not shared. Journal and playbooks keep their separate permissions. Removing an account or revoking mentorship removes access to its analytics too.
