Backtesting

Run your first backtest session

Create a historical replay session, pin candles, and finish it to save a report.

You need a supported instrument and a date range for which candle data is available.

Create and run

  1. Open Backtesting and select New backtest.
  2. Enter a session name, choose an instrument from search or the starter list, and set start and end dates.
  3. Set the balance, leverage, chart and execution timeframes, and the assumptions requested by the form.
  4. Create the session and check the provider symbol, candle count, and effective date coverage shown after data is pinned.
  5. Open the replay workspace. Use Play replay or Advance one candle to move forward.
  6. Submit simulated orders using the order ticket. Orders become eligible on a later execution candle.
  7. Select Finish marked open to retain an open position in the report, or Finish & close to close it before finishing.

Read configuration and candle coverage before interpreting the report.
