Backtesting

Backtesting: what it does

Understand JJI’s historical candle replay, simulated orders, and the boundary between replay and live trading.

JJI Backtesting is a manual historical-candle replay. You create a session, move through pinned candles, submit simulated orders, then review the resulting account and completed trades. It does not run automated strategies, generate signals, or place live broker orders.

How to start

  1. Open Backtesting from the sidebar.
  2. Select New backtest and enter the session settings.
  3. Pin the returned candle dataset, then open the session workspace.
  4. Advance or play the replay, place simulated orders, and review the result.

Sessions are separate from live trade history while you work. Finishing a replay saves a report and can create linked journal records for completed simulated trades. Read session setup, orders and replay, and assumptions before comparing results.
